ATHENS, BETWEEN
Matériel issu d’un travail en cours: photographie de rue d’Athènes, la ville natale de l’artiste. Brut, immédiat et à vif – tout comme la ville elle-même.
"For the past few years, I’ve been photographing the streets of Athens—my hometown. After living over a decade in Switzerland and spending years on the move, I return with a dual gaze: both as a local and as someone shaped by distance. Each visit reveals a city in flux—layered, contradictory, and emotionally charged. Gentrification moves quickly. Neglect remains visible. For many Athenians, the city center feels chaotic, exhausting, even unlivable. For others—often foreign residents or investors—it appears charming in its disorder, affordable, and full of opportunity. This work is a way of observing these tensions, documenting what disappears and what takes its place, and trying to understand a place that’s always shifting—yet still home."
